The device comes in a dark gray cardboard box with logos and product images. In addition to the mouse itself, the package includes instructions in 29 languages, a visual inlay instruction, a sticker with the Logitech G logo and a thank you booklet.
Dimensions Logitech G102 are 116.6 x 62.15 x 38.2 mm, weight – 85 grams, with a cable – 107. The cable does not detach and comes out of the front of the mouse. Its length is 2.1 meters. The braid is made of black PVC. The device is connected via a standard USB Type-A connector.
The mouse is made in a traditional style and has a comfortable grip. Thanks to its symmetrical shape, it is convenient to use with both left and right hands, which means it is suitable for both right-handers and left-handers. All buttons are conveniently located under your fingers and you do not need to apply any effort, since they are pressed together quite easily. The wheel has a relief, reminiscent of tire treads, and is pleasant to the touch. It rotates easily and has a signature sound when scrolling.
A version in the blue color of the case came to us for testing, which in the area with the wheel and the sensitivity switch button is made in a light aquamarine shade. In stores, this product is available in other colors: black, white and purple.
At the place of the grip of the hand, there is a matte transparent logo and a strip that encircles the lower part of the hump of the mouse, under which the RGB-backlight is hidden.
At the bottom of the mouse there are four plastic legs at the edges and one in the middle in the form of a ring that surrounds the sensor. Most likely, over time, dirt will collect on them, but this is removable.
BUTTONS
In total, you will find 6 buttons in the mouse, if you count the built-in wheel. There are two main buttons under the middle and index fingers – right and left. Between them there is a wheel, which is also pressed like a key, and just below there is a DPI switch button to adjust sensitivity levels. On the left side there are forward and backward buttons.
The mouse supports sensitivity from 200 to 8000 dpi, and you can switch between them thanks to four preset profiles using the DPI button. You just need to sequentially click on it to select one of 4 profiles: 400, 800, 1600 and 3200. But if you download the official Logitech G HUB application, then quick profiles can not only be customized for yourself, but also increased number of up to 5 options.

Since we mentioned the G HUB, it is worth delving into the functionality of this application using the example of the Logitech G102.
When you start the program, an image of the connected device will immediately appear in front of you, and with animation, if the mouse has a backlight. By clicking on the manipulator, you will quickly be transferred to its settings. In our case, the LIGHTSYNC tab has opened, in which you can fine-tune the RGB backlighting.
If you are too lazy to delve into the options, then you can use ready-made templates by simply choosing the effect, the speed of change or movement of colors, direction and brightness. It is also possible to customize it in a free style, that is, you can set up constant illumination here without animation at three points (on the sides and back). For example, from more than 16 million shades, you can create a gradient from any three colors. It is also possible to use animation effects that have several preset animations, as well as an editor for creating your own with fine settings.
The application has a tab “Assignments”, which will allow you to configure each button on the mouse or disable unnecessary ones, as well as assign macros, actions in running applications or launch the desired program. On the “Sensitivity” tab, you can set the cursor speed in the range from 200 to 8000 in 50 dpi increments. As we mentioned above, the creators of the Logitech G102 give you 5 profiles to switch on the assigned button on the mouse. You can also select one of four options (125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz and 1000Hz) polling rate per second.

The Logitech G102 is an entry-level gaming mouse that does its job well and is unlikely to let you down. It will become a decoration of your playing place during these gray days. It is very easy and subtle to customize it by absolutely any user to suit his needs, be it an e-sportsman or an ordinary gamer, and high-quality plastic will remain in its original form for a long time with proper care.
