Company Facebook entered the cloud gaming platform market with a solution Facebook Gaming… The service has already become available in several US states, but in the future, Facebook intends to offer the service to players from all over the world.
At the initial stage of development, only five games are available:
- Asphalt 9: Legends;
- Mobile Legends: Adventure;
- PGA TOUR Golf Shootout;
- Solitaire: Arthur’s Tale;
- WWE SuperCard.
While the largest social network will fill the cloud platform only with free mobile projects, but already in 2023, the creators plan to expand the library by adding adventure games and action movies. Depending on the format of the game and the decisions of the developers, the launch of projects will be accompanied by the presence of in-game purchases and advertising inserts. As emphasized by Facebook, the new service is intended to be an addition to consoles and PCs, not a replacement.
The new cloud platform can be accessed through the Facebook app on Android or through a browser on a PC. At the same time, the service is not presented on iOS due to Apple policy.
In September, Amazon announced its Luna cloud gaming platform.
