Company Sony Interactive Entertainment introduced the official cover of the action adventure Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which allows you to get an idea of how all the boxes with games will look for Playstation 5.
The top plate with the mention of the platform will turn white, and the PlayStation 5 logo will be black. For comparison, covers with games for Playstation 4 had a blue top plate and a white platform logo. So, for example, the box with the Spider-Man from Insomniac Games looked:
On the right side of the cover of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the logos of PlayStation Studios and Insomniac Games are neatly placed, and the marking of the rating organization ESRB is presented on the left (the American version of the game is presented).
But what on the cover art of the new “Spider-Man” was not, is the badge on the exclusivity of the game for the PlayStation 5. Perhaps Sony decided to abandon such designations after being “burned” with them on the PlayStation 4, when several games that were promoted as one-hundred-percent exclusives came out on other platforms, PC in particular.
As for the standard cases, they will remain blue in the PlayStation 5.
Sony’s next-generation console will debut in the fall of 2023.
