In What Happened, we will play the role of a high school student named Styles, who is tormented by anxiety and depression. Players will lead the hero through the darkest corners of his subconscious, trying to escape from nightmares and get out into the light.
The main goal of the game is to prevent Stiles from committing suicide. And the developers warn that the outcome will depend on how much we are able to sympathize with a guy who finds himself in a difficult situation.
To solve puzzles, you may also need the ability to read between the lines, to understand the subtext of what is happening and to delve into the vicissitudes of the hero. The creators told more about the work on the game in a special issue of the developer’s diaries.
