Last year, the announcement of the role play Baldur’s Gate III from the team Larian studios. The project is designed to continue the line of cult hits of the past and give fans of the genre a bright, interesting adventure with prescribed characters, a deep role-playing system and complex mechanics.
Currently new development Larian studios declared for exit only on PC and cloud service Google stadia, which raises a logical question for part of the audience – what is the probability of seeing Baldur’s Gate III on consoles?
And that’s what the recent publication is about. Gamespot inquired from Svena Winkecreative director Baldur’s Gate III. The developer admitted that To date, his team has not even tried to launch a game build on current consoles, but in the future the studio does not mind looking at Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X. Nevertheless, today the whole focus remains on the initially announced platforms.
“Our forces are now focused on PC and Stadia. We will focus as much as possible on making these versions work well, and then we’ll see,” Sven Winke explained.
Do not forget that the latest major projects Larian studios, namely two parts Divinity: Original Sin, also first went to PC, and after some time we got to home consoles in the form of improved and augmented ports. Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that Baldur’s Gate III the same fate befell.
