Insider Dusk Golem toldwhy Resident Evil 8: Village will skip the current generation console.
Initially, horror was supposed to be released on both generations of systems, but over time, problems began to appear on the PS4 and Xbox One with the appearance of objects from the air and long downloads of textures.
In addition to this, the eighth part is built around the exploration of the village – apparently, this will be one large location. However, on the current generation consoles, the level would have to be changed to several small locations between which the loading screen would appear – this interfered with the rhythm.
In the end, there were too many technical issues on the PS4 and Xbox One that called into question the artistic vision of the game, which made the project the flagship of next-generation consoles.
The release of Resident Evil 8: Village is expected in 2023 on the PS5, Xbox Series X and PC.
