Team developers Eagle dynamics launched early access to the module Supercarrier in an ambitious military flight simulator DCS World. The news is accompanied by a trailer for the song “It’s my life“American rock band Bon jovi.
According to the official description, DCS: Supercarrier is the most detailed and realistic simulation of a Nimitz class aircraft carrier.
The Nimitz class aircraft carrier is a marine nuclear fortress with a crew of more than 6,000 sailors and pilots. An angled flight deck with spark gaps and four steam engine catapults supports the operation of the air wing of up to 90 aircraft.
The ship has a formidable air defense system, which includes the Sparrow RIM-7 marine missile and the RIM-116 Rolling Airframe (RAM) missiles, as well as the melee weapon system (CIWS).
“In the current implementation, basic maneuvering in the aircraft carrier area will be available for all 3 types of meteorological conditions. Further work will improve flights in the near waiting area with repeated approaches after passing through the deck or violation of conditions. Landing will be implemented using the ACLS automatic system” , – noted the developers.
DCS World currently available exclusively on PC on Steam.
