Microsoft introduced a two-screen smartphone Surface duo last year, but still has not released it to the market. It was originally supposed that it would be released in the winter or spring of this year, but the coronavirus pandemic changed the company’s plans.
Reportedly, the hardware components are already ready, because the new product may appear on sale this year. The Surface Duo will ship with Android 10, and Microsoft is currently finalizing an interface that is adapted for two screens.
It is also likely that the device will receive support for Android 11 shortly after the release of the OS, although the date of this is still unknown. It is also not reported exactly when the smartphone itself will be released. Most likely, the company will try to release it for the holidays.
Surface Duo is credited with:
- Last year’s top processor Snapdragon 855
- Two screens with a diagonal of 5.6 inches with a resolution of 1350 x 1800 each
- Pre-installed Google and Microsoft applications, including the Edge browser and proprietary launcher.
