Through this fund, Sony will provide support in three areas: assisting front-line workers and first-aid workers in the fight against the virus, supporting children and teachers who are forced to work remotely, and supporting members of the creative community from the entertainment industry, to which the virus also had a huge negative impact.
In terms of medical care, $ 10 million of the total will be allocated to International Coronavirus Foundation (COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund)jointly established by the United Nations Foundation, the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation and other organizations. These funds will be used to help medical workers and others at the forefront of the fight against the virus.
Sony, together with its external partners, will also work out options for supporting events that will prevent the further spread of the coronavirus COVID-19.
