It seems that Microsoft has decided to move from neat and almost invisible advertising in Wordpad to full-blown shelling. After the latest updates, users began to see a full-screen notification offering “get more from windows“. Previously, such a window was displayed only at the first start of the system during the installation process.
It is noted that now this is displayed after a recent update, although it is not yet specified exactly which patch contained this data.
The corporation seems to believe that not all users are aware of their proprietary services. Therefore, the choice is offered:
- Your Phone – a service for connecting a PC and a smartphone;
- Windows Hello – biometric authorization service;
- Office 365 – a set of online editors;
- OneDrive – a cloud service;
- Microsoft account.
Note that a notification may appear periodically. Sometimes even after rebooting the system or during operation. However, it can be disabled.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Press Windows + I to open Settings;
- Go to System> Notifications and Actions;
- Find the option “’Suggested ways I can finish setting up my device to get the most out of Windows” and turn it off.
After that, the message will no longer appear.
This is what the window looks like
