Independent studio Easy day announced the release of the first large-scale beta update of the simulator in 2023 Skater xl. Skateboarding game in December 2018 is in early access Steam.
In the next update, the creators added a number of movements and animations, many of which were requested by the community. In particular, players can now use power slide braking and use it to flip their skate.
For most game movements, the studio recorded new animations that will make the process more natural and smooth. To do this, they invited the famous skateboarders Walker Ryan and Alexis Ramirez, and then the artists spent hours manually drawing animations.
A number of different improvements have been prepared for the beta version: rewritten sounds, new features for replays, improved management. All this must be tested by the players. Meanwhile, the September update is moving into a live version of early access.
Skater XL will also be released on PlayStation 4 (including the PlayStation 4 Pro) and Nintendo Switch. And on the blog Playstation a detailed story has already appeared about all the possibilities that the game provides. But the creators say about the release dates only that it will take place in 2023.
