Even at the time of the announcement S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 in May 2018 Sergey Galenkin from Epic games openly hinted that the sequel is being developed on the popular Epikov engine, so until now there has been little doubt about the choice of the technical base for the shooter.
In general, now we have an even more powerful argument in favor of which engine the project developers chose: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 appeared briefly on the page of the Unreal Engine 4 website with a list of upcoming projects with this engine.
But shortly after this, the mention of the Chernobyl shooter was deleted, although many had already managed to notice it and even take screenshots as evidence.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 still has neither platforms nor release dates.
