According to the company, buyers already have chargers obtained with previously purchased smartphones. In favor of abandoning the adapter, Xiaomi made the same argument as Apple: supplying a new charger with Mi 11 will only worsen the environment.
Xiaomi understands that this decision to exclude the charger may not appeal to buyers. However, following new industry environmental regulations is the best solution, the company said.
