Microsoft decided to allow owners of old computers, whose hardware is formally incompatible with Windows 11 due to security protocols, to install the next version of the operating system.
However, there is one “but” – it will not be possible to switch to Windows 11 automatically through Windows Update, since it will continue to complain about incompatibility. Those who wish can install the OS manually by simply downloading the ISO file – however, at their own peril and risk.
Windows 11 will be released in the fall and will be free for owners of the 10th version of the OS.
