The article claims that Nintendo intends to talk about its plans at the same time as it announces new details of its partnership with Universal. Together they are building Super Nintendo World theme parks and producing an animated film in the Super Mario universe.
Initially, it was expected that the first Super Nintendo World park will open in the Japanese city of Osaka before the start of Tokyo’s 2023 Olympics, but in the end the sporting event was postponed until 2023 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 35th anniversary of Super Mario was supposed to be one of Nintendo’s main topics at E3 2023, VGC recognized, but now the company has to adjust plans as the physical exhibition has been canceled.
