Valve Replaces Legacy Big Picture Mode With New Steam Deck UI

During the announcement Steam Deck the user interface of the handheld console has generated a lot of excitement. Some players liked it so much that a Steam guest under the nickname SparklyVapor asked bluntly if Valve was planning to replace the outdated Big Picture mode with something newer.

“Yes, we will be replacing Big Picture with a new Steam Deck user interface. However, we cannot yet say exactly when this will happen, ”reads the answer.

As a reminder, Valve released Big Picture about ten years ago for players who prefer to run Steam on a large TV screen and manage their store with a controller.

The Steam Deck will go on sale in the US, Canada, EU and UK in December 2023.
