The Unreal Engine 5 tech-demo has already been repeated in Dreams – its creator praised both engines

Impressed by a techie Unreal engine 5 for Playstation 5 freelance artist Martin Nebelong repeated a scene from an Epic Games demo using a sandbox toolkit Dreams on the PlayStation 4.

The enthusiast did not recreate the whole demo as a whole, but only a part with a cave, and it took him about two hours to sculpt everything. Yes, visually the fan’s work does not look so rich, but taking into account all the limitations and the short time he spent on creating it, you can once again admire the capabilities of Dreams.

“After seeing the Unreal Engine 5 demo, I had to try to do something inspired by this in Dreams. I am completely shocked by what the accuracy of UE5 and the possibilities of almost limitless polygons in games can lead to. What they managed to achieve with this engine just amazing!

At the same time, Dreams is a completely different story. This is the freedom of creativity and freedom from the technical part, which is usually included in the process of creating 3D graphics. Dreams deals with brush strokes and artist style, and “Dreams” manage to stay true to this idea in almost all tools and functions. “

Nebelong did not publish his work in Dreams, but uploaded a video where he showed the whole process of creating a location in accelerated time.
