The release date of the cartoon Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms

Along with the announcement of the date of the premiere, the box art of the new animated “Mortal Kombat” was published, as well as the details of the plot, the events of which start immediately after the finale of the original cartoon. The main characters in the person of Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade and Liu Kang are attacked by Shao Kahn, as a result of which Raiden is forced to make a deal so that his fighters can take part in the final Mortal Kombat, which should determine the fate of the worlds.

In turn, Scorpio sets out in search of a relic called Kamidogu, created by the powerful Elder Gods, before it is used to return a mysterious creature that will destroy the universe.

As previously reported, the entire main cast will return to voice acting, including Joel McHale and Jennifer Carpenter for Johnny Cage and Sonia Blade, and will be accompanied by Jordan Rodriguez (Liu Kang), Patrick Seitz (Scorpio / Hanzo Hasashi ), Artt Butler (Shang Tsung / Cyrex), Robin Atkin Downs (Shinnok / Reiko), Dave B. Mitchell (Raiden / Kintaro / Sector), Ike Amadi (Jax Briggs), Gray Griffin (Satoshi Hasashi / Milina), and Fred Tataska (Shao Kahn).

New characters in the sequel will include Striker, Smoke, Sub-Zero / Quai Liang, Kun Lao, Grandmaster Lin Kuei, Jade and D’Vora.

The Mortal Kombat Legends sequel will once again be directed by Ethan Spaulding, and Jeremy Adams will write the script. As in the case of the first part, the co-author of Mortal Kombat Ed Boone will take part in the work on the project as a consultant.
