The creators of Rust redesigned the farming system: manure, compost, watering, genetics

Survival authors Rust released the April update Farming 2.0. And, as the name implies, it is dedicated to the processing of the farming system.
Now players dedicated to the agricultural business can eagerly approach the solution of the food problem. Plants are now affected by a whole range of various factors – light, humidity, temperature, and the condition of the earth.
To improve their crops, Rust heroes can set up an irrigation system with water tanks and sprinklers. The horses were trained in the bowel movement and the collected manure is sent to compost pits for fertilizer production.
Players gained access to a new type of plant – potatoes. And existing varieties can now be crossed to improve genetics.
Plants collected in the field have their own set of genes, which become visible only after planting. To replace the “bad” genes, the plant should be planted next to other representatives of the species, and if there are more “good” genes in the neighborhood, then it will improve.
The Farming 2.0 update is already available in the game. His innovations were briefly described in the trailer.
