Testing: Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin demo for PlayStation 5 runs at 1080p with FPS drops

Channel VG Tech tested a demo of a role-playing action Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin for Playstation 5

The demo offers two modes with priority on performance or resolution. In both of them, the game works with the same quality in 1080p, except that in the second case, the UI is rendered in 4K… Resolution mode is not available if the PlayStation 5 is inputting 1080p.

In terms of performance, the demo comes with an unlock at 60 frames per second, but the frame rate is not even and regularly drops by 5-10 FPS… In some places during battles there are drawdowns up to 40 FPS, despite the fact that visually the game looks like a hello from the 2010s with soapy graphics, weak effects and nondescript design.

The full release of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is scheduled for 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One and PC. The project is being developed by Team Ninja
