Tencent now majority shareholder in V Rising and Battlerite

Chinese giant Tencent continues to expand its participation in Western companies. Recently it became known that the corporation will buy Sumo Group, which includes 14 studios, including developers Sackboy: A Big Adventure and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, and then another piece of news came.
The company became the majority shareholder of Swedish developers from Stunlock studiosknown by Battlerite, Battlerite royale and the upcoming vampire game V Rising… At the same time, the studio will retain its identity and structure.

Collaboration between the companies began back in 2016 with the launch of Battlerite in China. And a couple of years ago, in 2019, Tencent acquired a minority stake in Stunlock. As for the future, the studio will continue to create games independently, but will receive strategic support from the Chinese company.
