Techland: Dying Light 2 Was Announced Too Early, But It’s Not In Production Hell

Zombie shooter Dying light 2 was officially announced at Microsoft’s presentation during E3 2018. A year later Techland decided on a release date and planned to release the game in the spring of 2023, but at the beginning of the same year, the release was postponed. Since then, the narrative director has been fired from the project. Chris Avellone, screenwriter and art director left Pavel Selinger, and numerous reports from sources called the setting in the studio “complete chaos”.

A few days ago, the developers finally broke their silence and dated the next presentation of Dying Light 2, which will take place 17th March… However, some users are still worried about the project and remain confused that its production has managed to end up in a “production hell”. In response, Techland’s community manager admitted that the studio was in a hurry to announce the game, but at the same time emphasized that development is moving forward and does not fit the specified definition in any way

“The definition of” production hell “means that the game has no progress in development, while [разработка] DL2 continues to move forward. We announced the game too early, but it’s nowhere near production hell. “

When commenting on another user’s question, Techland’s spokesperson says Dying Light 2 is doing well and is delighted that the community will receive fresh news on the game after so long.

“Yes, the game is doing well, and I’m glad our community gets the latest news after all this time, despite some personal issues. You guys deserve to know what’s going on.”
