Surviving Mars reaches 5 million unique players – Igromania

Company Paradox Interactive published its financial statements for the first quarter of 2023.

The company’s revenues fell 9% compared to the first quarter of 2023, and profit before taxes fell 44%. The fall is associated with the changed exchange rate, but the company is still dissatisfied with this result.

Paradox’s flagship games over the past few years have been Europa Universalis, Crusader Kings, Stellaris, Hearts of Iron and Cities: Skylines. Surviving Mars, Age of Wonders and Prison Architect have the opportunity to get on this list.

The company also plans to release games based on new brands that go beyond its current core areas, such as strategy and management simulations, in part.

However, Paradox continues to invest in its core areas. For example, new content for economic strategy Surviving Mars, which reached 5 million unique players (the game was handed out twice in EGS) is scheduled for the coming year.

That said, in the last quarter, the company canceled two unannounced games that were being developed by in-house studios.
