Successful Biomutant: The game paid off completely, sales exceeded a million copies

Role-playing action Biomutant from THQ Nordic has recouped all the costs in the first week of sales and has sold more than 1 million copies

News came from interim report Embracer Group, which owns THQ Nordic, for the first quarter of fiscal year 2023 (April-June). It is claimed that sales of the game in the first week covered not only development and marketing costs, but also the money spent by Embracer on the acquisition of Experiment 101 development studio and IP rights

“The main driver of revenue this quarter was the release of Biomutant from our in-house studio Experiment 101. The game has sold over a million copies to date,” it said.

In addition to Biomutant, the company revealed updated sales of the Scandinavian survivor ValheimAs of June 30, the game has already been sold in quantity 7.9 million copies

Sweden’s Embracer Group is the parent company of eight subsidiary operating groups: THQ Nordic, Koch Media, Coffee Stain, Amplifier, Saber Interactive, Gearbox Entertainment, Deca and Easybrain.

Today it also became known about the acquisition by Embracer through its subsidiary Saber Interactive of three more studios, including the American Demiurge Studios, Ukrainian Fractured Byte and Russian SmartPhone Labs
