“Starting a whole new franchise”: EA hints again at Respawn’s Star Wars sequel

Last night Electronic arts held a quarterly financial meeting with analysts and investors, during which the director general of the publishing house Andrew Wilson made an interesting point regarding Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Speaking of the game, he called it “the first title in a completely new franchise”.

This, obviously, testifies to EA’s plans for the development of the sequel, talk of which went right after the successful launch of the original Fallen Order. As of March 31, the project reached over 10 million unique players announced in today’s Electronic Arts quarterly report.

Net sales were not disclosed, but back in January it was noted that the project exceeded all the company’s expectations, already reaching the top of the initial forecast of 6-8 million copies sold. By March 31, 2023, EA planned to sell a total of 10 million copies of the game. Whether this bar has been reached is not reported.

The other day for Fallen order Star Wars Day content update released.
