Sports Without Racism – EA SPORTS Announces Stronger Action Against Unfair Users

Over the past week, several companies have announced that they intend to strengthen measures to combat racism and other expressions of intolerance in their projects. The list of organizations has replenished with another name – the sports department of Electronic Arts EA SPORTS.

The company promised that it would take a lot of effort and resources to find dishonest users in a timely manner and obstruct their behavior.

“We are constantly acting in the interests of developing a culture of inclusiveness. Aggressive and destructive behaviors are constantly changing and evolving, so we, in turn, need to closely monitor the situation and timely block users who allow themselves to publish racist, xenophobic, homophobic and sexist content” – Spoken in circulation by EA Sports.

The list of measures taken by the developers is as follows:

  • The filter of forbidden words will be subjected to careful analysis, new terms will be introduced into it taking into account different slang and foreign languages.
  • The system of complaints and their handling will be simplified. Now it will be much easier for users to report players who violate the rules, and administrators will be able to quickly proceed with the investigation.
  • In general, the time for considering complaints will be significantly reduced – additional resources will be sent to the department responsible for processing them.

But EA SPORTS is not going to stop there. The department promises to continue to improve in order to provide the most favorable experience in all of its projects.
