Sony asked? Konami has not been involved in the deletion of interview with Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka

Last week composer Akira Yamaoka announced in the AI Hub podcast that the official announcement of the next project with his participation should take place in the summer of 2023. He did not elaborate on the details, noting only that this will be what many probably wanted to hear about.

Fans immediately suggested that this could be a new Silent Hill, and a few days later the situation with the deletion of the interview added fuel to the fire. AI Hub hosts posted a post on social media where they reported that the episode with Yamaoka was removed from the channel at the request of an unnamed party.

And today the story took a new turn: in a statement to the VGC publication official representative Konami reported that the company had nothing to do with the deletion of the interview with Akira Yamaoka

“Konami did not ask AI Hub to remove interviews from publication.”

Whether this is really so, as they say in the publishing house, is unknown. At the same time, Konami’s comment does not negate the theory with Silent Hill, since the video could have been closed by filing Sony, which, according to rumors, is just funding the development of a new part of the horror series as an exclusive for Playstation 5
