Sonic in space and a bunch of references: The first shot of the new shooter from the creators of Alien: Isolation

Studio Creative assembly published the first frame of an unannounced shooter from the development team Alien: Isolation

The teaser image is interesting because it contains a lot of references to other projects. SEGA… You can see Sonic floating in space, the publisher’s logo, a bunch of bananas (Super Monkey Ball), several cassettes in paint (Jet Set Radio), posters of Virtua Racing and Company of Heroes 2, as well as a couple of less obvious references, such as toilet rolls. paper and a giant inflatable unicorn. The first may be related to Yakuza: Like a Dragon, where there are quests with the delivery of toilet napkins, and the second may be related to ToeJam & Earl – one of the amplifiers there was an inflatable ring.

The posted screenshot does not reflect the gameplay, but most likely gives an idea of the general tone and setting of the game.

Creative Assembly officially confirmed the creation of the project back in 2019. It will be a shooter with a new IP. The studio did not disclose other details, although from the old vacancies it can be concluded that we are talking about a multiplayer shooter or at least a game with network elements.
