Sigma became the basis for the re-release of Ninja Gaiden due to the loss of the source of the originals

The basis of the upcoming reissue Ninja gaiden become Sigma-versions of the first two parts, which indescribably upset the fans – among the fans they are considered weak adaptations of the originals.

There are enough reasons – a decrease in the number of enemies and an increase in health for each of them, reduced detail of the dismemberment, changed balance and behavior of opponents, simplified graphics, and the like. Sigma also had new content, but nothing remarkable was there.

According to the representative Team Ninja, the developers would not mind using the original versions of Ninja Gaiden, but this is impossible – the source code is lost.

In addition, the studio noted that network modes like Tag Missions (Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2) and Ninja trials (Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge) are not supported for several reasons, including budget and production time.

Also, Team Ninja wants to make a new part of the series, but there are no specific plans for now, as well as for adding Ryu to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – they themselves are waiting for an invitation from Nintendo.

Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection Launches June 10 on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
