Samsung showed a smartphone that folds in two places

Folding smartphones have long been a surprise, but devices of this format are expensive and far from mass consumption. Despite this, the South Korean company Samsung believes that the future belongs to them.

The manufacturer has mastered the technology that allows the screen to be folded in one place, and may soon release a smartphone in which the screen is folded in two places.

The patent for S-shaped displays, noticed earlier on the network, has entered a new stage. At the International Display Exhibition, Samsung demonstrated a prototype of a similar device. By folding the smartphone in half, the user will get a candy bar, similar in size to a 7.2-inch device, though quite thick and weighty. When unfolded, the device resembles a tablet, ready for all sorts of tasks.
