Samsung has improved AMOLED displays

Samsung Display announced the creation of a new AMOLED display for smartphones, which is optimized for models that support fifth-generation networks. It is claimed that it has 15% less energy consumption than existing models. It also has the lowest blue light emission in the industry – 6.5%.
Technical features are not yet called. In particular, it is not clear how to reduce energy consumption. It is assumed that this was done due to new materials for organic LEDs.
Also, the company did not specify what the optimization consists of specifically for 5G smartphones. In the description we are talking only about high image quality.
The company said that the new OLED LEDs have already passed UL certification (Underwriters Laboratories) and the Swiss company SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance). However, it has not yet been announced when they will appear in the finished devices and how much they will increase their cost.
