Rumors about unpleasant restrictions on PlayStation 5 are spreading around the network, but this is a clear fake

A rumor spreads across the network that the owners Playstation 5 ostensibly they will not be able to run on their consoles physical copies of games that have previously been used in conjunction with another console. Information about this appeared today on 4chanwhere an image was posted showing error reading Used disc on PS5

“This disc cannot be authenticated because it was previously inserted into another console. If you think this is an error, please contact Sony support for assistance.”

Now this rumor is actively discussed on the network, but there is no doubt that this is a fake… The fact is that all errors on PlayStation consoles are usually accompanied by corresponding codes, for example, CE-34878-0 in case of emergency closing of the application on Playstation 4however, no code is observed in this case. On the screen, you can only see the text, which, among other things, was composed with a grammatical error: instead of “this is in error” at the end of the second sentence, in theory, it should be written “this is an error”.

In addition, in the past, I already wanted to do a similar trick with binding disks to a specific console. Microsoft on Xbox one, but then the gaming community criticized such a decision, and therefore the platform owner had to abandon this venture. It is doubtful that Sony will step on the same rake, especially since in 2013 the Japanese company itself made fun of the failed policy of its competitors by releasing a video with instructions on how to easily exchange used discs for PS4.
