Ruined King: A League of Legends Story – Meet the First Single Player RPG in the League of Legends Universe for PC and Consoles

Company Riot forge, publishing division Riot games, announced that formally announced at The Game Awards 2019 turn based role playing game Ruined King: A League of Legends Story will be released in early 2023. This is the first single player RPG in the League of Legends universe and the first in the franchise to hit consoles and PC right away.

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is being developed by Airship Syndicate, the creator of Battle Chasers: Nightwar and Darksiders Genesis under the guidance of renowned comic book writer Joe Madureira. On the one hand, this project is designed to acquaint newcomers with the League of Legends universe and allow experienced players to reveal new secrets of the already familiar world.

At the moment, it is known that the action of the Ruined King will unfold in two areas of Runeterra. Bilgewater is a port city where sea monster hunters, bandits and merchants from all over the world live. The gloomy islands are covered with a veil of black mist that destroys everything it touches. To battle a mysterious enemy, players will gather a group of everyone’s favorite League of Legends champions – Miss Fortune, Illaoi, Braum, Yasuo, Ari and Pike will appear in the game.

“In Ruined King, both new players and loyal fans of League of Legends will be able to immerse themselves in the world of Runeterra. This will be the first single-player game in the League universe to be released on both consoles and PC. We are excited to bring you exciting new stories and champions. which gamers have known for years. We look forward to seeing you embark on this new adventure, “Leanne Loom, CEO of Riot Forge, said in an announcement press release.

First, the novelty will debut on the Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox one and PC (on Steam and Epic Games Store), and later will make it to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
