Riot Games will change the economy and progress system Legends of Runeterra – review

Trading Card Game Legends of runeterra from Riot games An open beta is currently underway, which has helped developers identify several problems with the economy and project progress system.

In their blog, the authors note that the methods that were chosen for the continuous development of meta and the ability to invest time and real money in different proportions were less successful than planned.

In this regard, Riot Games decided to give players more control over progress.

  • every week a crazy champion card will be dropped from the vault;
  • storage level will increase endlessly;
  • there will no longer be a limit on experience;
  • in the game store you can buy any card.

For developers, it is fundamentally important to make sure that in Legends of Runeterra you can get what you want in a way that is convenient for players, as well as compete with other players regardless of real money investment.

The changes are designed to give gamers maximum freedom for experimentation, reduce the assembly time of the desired deck and make cards accessible to everyone. A complete list of changes can be found here. They will enter into force on March 31 with the release of update 0.9.3.
