“Alien: Testament”, which was released in 2017, was supposed to be the second part of the trilogy begun “Prometheus”However, at the box office I collected less than the last.

Given a budget of $ 97 million, the Testament has earned a little more than 240 million worldwide, while at Prometheus this figure exceeds 403 million (with a budget of 130 million).

But, according to Scott, there are still stories in the universe that need to be told, although this will require some “reinvention” of the franchise.
