Netflix presented the first teaser and fresh details of the authors’ new series “Darkness” entitled “1899”…

On the way, the characters encounter a second ship, which was considered missing for many months. In an attempt to find answers, the heroes will become participants in a real nightmare full of secrets. In this case, the participants in the voyage will be somehow connected through their past.

In addition, each of the characters in the series will speak their own language, taking into account the country of origin of this or that character. At a minimum, there will be French, Spanish, Polish and German. The communication problem will become one of the thematic elements of the story.

The main role in the project is played by Emily Beecham (“In the desert of death”), and the caste includes Andreas Pichman from “Darkness” and Miguel Bernardo from “Elites”…

Work on “1899” started back in 2018, and technologies were used during the work. “The Mandalorian” – a kind of “dome” that allows you to create a digital environment in almost real time. At first, the authors planned to shoot the project in ordinary locations, but the coronavirus pandemic intervened, so they had to reconsider their approach.

The show was created with the expectation of several seasons, but it is too early to talk about further plans. The first season of eight episodes has no release date yet.
