Returnal developers have released a new patch – previously, some PS5 exclusive buyers lost their saves

Experimental action Returnalcreated by the Finnish studio Housemarque for console Playstation 5, received an update under the number 1.3.4 – it fixes a number of critical bugs that appeared in the game several hours earlier after the release of the update 1.3.3

What happened

Last night, the owners of the game were able to install the patch numbered 1.3.3 – with his help Housemarque hoped to fix a number of annoying technical and gameplay issues. However, soon after the patch appeared, netizens began to massively complain about a new problem – an error (CE-100028-1), spontaneously appearing during gameplay and potentially killing save files, making it impossible to load them

In an attempt to quickly resolve the situation, the team Housemarque completely rolled back Returnal up to version 1.3.1prompting gamers affected by the new bug to remove the game from their console and re-download it.

In turn, the update that appeared a few hours ago 1.3.4based on a stable build Returnal, completely fixed the error (CE-100028-1), and also corrected a number of problems with in-game trophies and closed access to special cheat codes, which could be entered by connecting a keyboard to the console

The developers note that if during the installation of the latest updates for Returnal, your saves were damaged (you can determine this by their weight – broken files take up total on PS5 SSD 0 KB), then there is no way to fix the situation: the only option would be to turn to cloud storage PS Plusif a similar option is enabled on your system
