residents of St. Petersburg spend the least on games – review

Service “Yandex money“Once again calculated the costs of users for games and came to the conclusion that among the million-plus cities, Moscow became the leader in spending: the average check is 759 rubles. St. Petersburg settled on the other end of the scale – 481 rubles.

Analysts at Yandex.Money examined data on payments from cards “Yandex“And through”Yandex.Cash“And the application”Ya Streamer“In January-April 2023. And they found out that about 70% of the expenses were spent on the purchase of games, and about 30% – on the payment of in-game content.

While the number of game purchases and in-game purchases correlates as 85% to 15%, an average of 2.4 times less is spent on games than on subscriptions and donations. For example, in April 2023, users paid an average of 361 rubles for the games themselves, but the average check for gaming services amounted to 862 rubles.

Compared with March, in April the turnover of “gaming” spending increased by 22-23%, while the number of in-game purchases increased by 17%. But at the same time, average costs increased by only 5%.

Players also began to pay more streamers: in April, donates increased by 40-90% compared with March 23-29, the last week before self-isolation. On average, 300 rubles are transferred through Ya Streamer.
