Resident Evil 7 hits nearly 10 million – Capcom’s platinum hits renewed

Following the publication of the quarterly report Capcom traditionally renewed the sales of its “platinum” titles.

The publisher includes projects with sales of one million copies or more. New information has appeared for seven games. Results are shown as of June 30, 2023.

  • Monster Hunter Rise (Switch) – 7.3 million copies (+2.5 million per quarter)
  • Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (PS4, Xbox One, PC) – 9.8 million copies (+800,000 per quarter)
  • Monster Hunter World: Iceborne (PS4, Xbox One) – 8.2 million copies (+500,000 per quarter)
  • Resident Evil 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC) – 8.6 million copies (+500,000 per quarter)
  • Resident Evil 3 (PS4, Xbox One, PC) – 4.4 million copies (+400,000 per quarter)
  • Street Fighter V (PS4, PC) – 5.8 million copies (+300,000 per quarter)
  • Devil May Cry 5 (PS4, Xbox One, PC) – 4.5 million copies (+200,000 per quarter)

Capcom’s full platinum list currently counts 106 titles… For the reporting quarter, it added Resident evil revelations collection for Switch reaching 1 million sales, and recent Resident Evil: Villagesold in quantity 4.5 million copies, but the most popular project of the company is still Monster Hunter World with a circulation of 17.3 million.
