Reforged on Metacritic fell below 1 point – review

Scandalous release Warcraft III: Reforged continues to be a topic of discussion on the net, and the user rating on Metacritic is steadily declining amid what is happening.
If two days ago, the score was approximately 2.6 points, then by the time of this writing, the rating had dropped to 0.9 points – it is less than Fallout 76 (2.7 points), the problems of which have been discussed for almost a year and a half, and Bethesda continues to release raw updates with critical bugs.

You can understand the Warcraft community: instead of the promised rethinking, Blizzard not only released a remaster with controversial visual improvements, but also combined the client with the classic strategy, disabling a number of features, including support for the local network, clans and rating matches.

Moreover, the “rethinking” has enough technical problems – many especially complain about the lack of frames in unit animations. Apparently, they are fixed at 30 FPS.

At the same time, journalists are not in a hurry to issue reviews: apparently, the publisher did not provide a copy of Reforged in advance, and many publications now publish updated reviews in order to quickly share their first impressions.

Warcraft III: Reforged itself may not be as bad as the community speaks of it, but Blizzard’s marketing clearly played a trick.

It’s surprising that they continue to promote the new product even after the release as a rethinking. Not to mention the fact that cutscenes are used in advertising, which are not in the remake.

Despite the loud resentment of the community, Blizzard is still silent.
