Publisher AWAY will help with the restoration of deforested forests – for each disk purchased, two trees will be planted

Development studio Breaking Walls announced the exact release date of the survival adventure AWAY: The Survival Series, which will first appear only on PlayStation and PC consoles.

According to the announcement, sales of the project in digital stores PS Store and Steam start 28 september… A disc release for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 will also take place, but a little later – 1 october

Physical Edition of AWAY: The Survival Series will be distributed by the publisher Perp Games worldwide and will offer the following bonus content in the package:

  • A digital soundtrack by composer Mike Raznik, who previously worked on the BBC documentaries Life and Planet Earth II;
  • Digital 75-page art book with illustrations and information about the game;
  • AR short film based on the game, created for the Green Game Jam 2023 in cooperation with the UN Climate and Forest Program UN-REDD and the Playing for the Planet alliance;
  • Card with art.

Perp Games in partnership with the organization Eden Reforestation Projectreforestation will plant two new trees for each physical copy purchased at full price.

AWAY: The Survival Series is inspired by nature documentaries and follows the adventures of a sugar marsupial flying squirrel in a post-apocalyptic future world, plagued by a series of natural disasters that threaten the survival of all species on the planet. The small animal will have to go through many trials and protect its family from the dangers posed by both natural elements and other representatives of the fauna.

Release AWAY: The Survival Series on Xbox will take place later. The exact timing has not been specified.
