Analytical firm Ampere Analysis Insights has presented a report on sales of modern consoles for the first quarter of 2023 (January-March). Nintendo Switch became the leader by a huge margin:
- Nintendo Switch – 5.86 million
- PlayStation 5 – 2.83 million
- Xbox Series – 1.31 million
The Nintendo console has seen 12% annual growth – and this despite the fact that a year ago a pandemic began and a hyper-popular came out Animal Crossing: New Horizons… Its circulation has recently exceeded 34 million copies.
According to analysts, in the new generation Sony manages to maintain the previous lead over the competitor – however, it is difficult to at least roughly understand the real demand for fresh consoles due to the global shortage.
