Unlike previous games where the hero was a random participant in the conflict, Dani Rojas (man or woman to choose from) is a native of Yara, the country in which Far Cry 6 will unfold. At the same time, Dani is a member of the resistance and mainly fights as a partisan, conducting sabotage, setting up ambushes and using improvised weapons in battle.

Since Yara is isolated from the outside world by decision of the country’s President Anton Castillo, most of the weapons and equipment in the game will be either outdated or homemade. In total, Far Cry 6 will offer 49 types of weapons ranging from familiar shotguns and sniper rifles to weapons that shoot CDs and other homemade products collected from junk. In addition, Dani will be able to use special backpacks: the Uber Supremo, for example, is a portable air defense system. Due to the wide variety, players will be able to independently choose equipment and skills based on the chosen play style. At the same time, the developers promise that users will be able to save the calculations of weapons and items for quick selection in the corresponding missions.

The new map will be the largest in the history of the franchise. In addition to several different biomes, Far Cry 6 will acquire full-fledged urban locations, where you can also see traces of the past and isolation from the outside world. Separately, the developers note the capital of Yara, Esperanza: the city will be very different from the rest of the map, both in appearance and in sensations. The capital is patrolled by elite troops, so in order not to enter into constant conflicts, players will be able to hide weapons and merge with ordinary residents of the city.

Outside the capital, players will also have to face the military, and in some cases we are talking about checkpoints and air defense points. After defeating the latter, users will be able to use aircraft without fear for their own lives. The checkpoints themselves have also undergone changes: instead of separate buildings, the military uses former civilian buildings such as schools, television stations and farms. According to Ben Hall, director of open world Far Cry 6, the choice of equipment and mates will greatly affect the experience of the game.

Instead of head-on confrontation, players can navigate special paths left over from the rebels after the 1967 revolution. In addition to stealthy movement, they will also help you acquire unique types of equipment, special data and weapons. Obtaining missions will be carried out at special posts of the rebels. There you can also find partners, and not only people like Clara Garcia, who controls her own tank, or Juan Cortez, a master of espionage and quietly eliminating opponents, but also animals. Among the latter, for example, you can find a Chorizo dachshund puppy or a Guapo crocodile, as well as horses, which will be a separate means of transportation.

Far Cry 6 will be released on October 7, 2023. The game will be released on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PS4 and PS5.
