Netflix 'Masters of the Universe' relaunch gets 'ones' from fans

The plot of the project continues the events of the original cartoon of the 80s about wrestling Hee-Mena and his allies against Skeletor… However, their battle endangers the existence of the planet Eternia and the universe, not to mention the fact that the Sword of Power simply disappears.

Before the release, there were rumors on the network that the series would introduce radical plot moves, and they turned out to be true – only fans of the original cartoon did not appreciate such a decision by the writers at all.

At the moment, the project has received 36 reviews from users on iMDb, most of which turned out to be negative: the animated series, on average, receives either 1 or 2 points out of 10.

There are, however, a few positive reviews, but the overall rating of “The Lords” falls in the morning. Initially, the new item had more than 8 points, while now it is 7.3. On the Rotten tomatoes users rated the project as 47% “fresh”, while it received 97% from critics.

The problem is that according to the plot, Hi-Man dies rather quickly, and the place of the main character is taken by his partner Teela, who will have to solve the problems of Eternia. Apparently, the rest of the scenes from the trailer with the hero are flashbacks.

Moreover, users note that showrunner Kevin Smith himself previously denied the veracity of such rumors, which turned out to be real. This, among other things, angered the fans of the universe, as they were expecting the continuation of the adventures of their favorite hero, and not another character.
