The State Commission for Radio Frequencies (SCRF) will give the operator MTS access to 5G frequencies to check the impact of networks on the outside world and nature. Among the frequencies declared “golden” range of 3.4-3.8 GHz. Testing will be conducted locally in Moscow at three sites.
During the tests, it is planned to assess the impact of fifth-generation networks on “the well-being of citizens and a comfortable urban environment”. In addition to the “golden range”, frequencies of 37–40 GHz will also be used.
And on March 10, the agency will consider the application “Pennant»For testing 5G in the range of 3.4-3.8 GHz. Earlier, the commission refused to allocate a range, and the location of the tests did not play a role.
And in “Tele2” they said testing can improve the situation with 5G, since the Russian standards for the level of radio emission are much tougher than in Europe and North America, because the results can change the situation on the Russian market and ensure the emergence of full-fledged fifth-generation networks.
