Moroccan sandstorm: DIRT 5 shows how dynamic weather can transform the race

Studio Codemasters published a new gameplay video of a racing game DIRT 5, in which the authors propose to look at how dynamic weather can affect the course of the race. In the video, the participants’ ultralight buggies have to fight their way to the finish line through a sandstorm.

In a commentary to the video, the developers confirmed that the weather or the time of day could change dramatically during the race. In addition, in the presented offline editor, players will be able to select dynamic weather and the rate at which it changes during the race.

Release DIRT 5 will take place on November 3rd on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, November 10th on Xbox Series S / X and later on PlayStation 5. On Xbox consoles, the new DIRT will use the Smart Delivery, thanks to which players will be able to upgrade the project from the current generation to the nextgen version for free. On PlayStation 5, this feature will also be introduced. Users of the Google Stadia cloud platform will receive the game in early 2023.
