Merger Bethesda with Microsoft will happen through a new subsidiary of Vault – Igromania

The media drew attention to documents published online, according to which the merger ZeniMax, parent company Bethesda, from Microsoft will happen through a new subsidiary Vault (“Shelter”).

This means that formally ZeniMax will be owned by the new company, although it is noted that Microsoft will gain sole and complete control over both ZeniMax and Vault.

It is not yet known how such a move will affect the release of future Bethesda games on platforms other than Xbox and PC. Earlier, Microsoft noted that it does not intend to prohibit Bethesda from releasing games on the PlayStation and Nintendo.
Recall that the transaction amount between ZeniMax and Microsoft is $ 7.5 billion. However, before March 5, the European Committee has yet to approve the deal.
