Media: Remasters of Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City and San Andreas Coming Soon, Red Dead Redemption May Be Reissued

Reissue of a trilogy of classic 3D parts Grand Theft Auto is really real, as several Kotaku sources point out at once.

The publication managed to find out that the remasters are in the final stages of development and should be released this fall.

We are talking about updated versions Grand theft auto iii, Vice city and San andreasAll three games are remastered using Unreal Engine and will be a mixture of “new and old graphics”… According to one source who allegedly saw the gameplay, the re-release’s visuals reminded him of heavily modified versions of the original versions. The gameplay of the games will remain as close as possible to the original source, and the user interface, although updated, will retain the classic recognizable style.

According to informants, the production of remasters is Rockstar dundee – newly opened division transformed from Ruffian Games (Crackdown 2).

It is noted that initially the remasters wanted to make a bonus for the purchase of the nextgen version Grand theft auto v, and the release was supposed to take place at the beginning of this year, however, the COVID-19 pandemic intervened in the plans and the release was postponed, and then they decided to sell the re-releases separately.

At the moment, they plan to release the games in a single collection only in digital format in late October or early November on two generations of Xbox and PlayStation, Switch, PC, Google Stadia and even smartphones. At the same time, there is a chance that the computer and mobile versions will be delayed until next year, since the studio is primarily focused on the development of console ports.

Additionally, sources claim that other older Rockstar games are pending, including the first part Red dead redemption, but everything will depend on how well the updated GTA trilogy performs.
