Looks Impressive: Former DICE Head’s Embark Studio Reveals The Gameplay Of Its First Game

Studio Embark studiosfounded in 2018 by a former vice president Electronic Arts and ex-head DICE Patrick Söderlund, is still not ready to reveal the name and timing of the release of its first development, but the progress made in the production process allowed the authors to show several dynamic scenes from the early version of the game.

Embark has recently published a short gameplay teaser of the game, reminiscent of the atmosphere Star Wars: Battlefront from DICE with retro-fantastic stylistics, large-scale locations and graphics close to photorealism.

In the initial announcement, the project was described as a shareware cooperative action game with a setting in the distant future, where players must work together to overcome seemingly impossible obstacles. Since then Embark Studios took up another game – a PvP shooter, which relies on team gameplay and brings dynamic gameplay, physics and destructibility to the center of everything. Judging by the first concept art, in it gamers will have to fight for heroes of various classes, including the samurai.

Embark Studios started out as a small team but currently has over 200 employees… The studio’s results are planned to be comparable to projects from larger companies – in a new blog post Embark announced the creation of its own procedural toolkit that will help reduce the time and resources required to develop modern high-budget games.

In the coming weeks, Embark Studios plans to talk more about the approach to creating content for its games.
