LG is recalling more than 4,000 OLED TVs in Russia due to a dangerous defect. What to do for the owners of “gray” – it is not known

Company Lg in Russia massively recalls thousands of smart TVs for repair OLED because of a dangerous marriage. If you have one of the affected models, we advise you to contact the manufacturer.

LG announced that certain OLED TVs from from 2016 to 2019will be withdrawn. In total, these criteria fall under 4009 panels sold. It is noted that TVs to be repaired can overheat so much that they damage the back cover of the case.

The following models were reviewed:

  • 2016: OLED65E6, OLED65G6, OLED77G6;
  • 2017: OLED65C7, OLED65E7, OLED65G7, OLED65W7, OLED77G7;
  • 2018: OLED65W8, OLED77C8, OLED77W8;
  • 2019: OLED65W9, OLED77C9, OLED77W9

Owners of these TVs will be able to contact the official service for inspection and free repair.

LG and Rosstandart did not specify whether they would accept TVs of the listed models unofficially imported into Russia.
